Step # 1 – Introductory Class:
To get started at CrossFit Proper, you will need to attend a Free Introductory class. Show up at the studio around 5-10 min before your appointment. One of the trainers will be there to greet you and have you sign a waiver stating that you are in good health. When we feel like we have everyone who was planning on showing up, we will talk about CrossFit, show you our studio and then get you moving with a 10 minute warm up. Once everyone has finished warming up, we will discuss the workout of the day (W.O.D.). We will demonstrate the movements required for the workout and then give you some practice time.
Once everyone is comfortable with the movements, the entire group will start the workout together with a “3-2-1- Go!”

Step #2 – Foundations Class: (For Athlete new to CrossFit.)
Fitness is built upon a solid understanding of functional movements. During our Foundations Classes, you will learn the nine fundamental movements of CrossFit and be introduced to some additional skills, like kipping pull-ups. The emphasis of the first three Foundations classes are on the mechanics of the movements in preparation for the group classes. On the 5th and 6th day of your Foundations, we will do benchmarks to assess your current level of fitness so that group class workouts are scaled to your ability.

Step # 3 – Group Classes:
We recommend 3 days on 1 day off or 5 classes per week for the best results, but we understand that work and family can sometimes make it challenging. For those of you in this category, we encourage you to sign up for as many days as you can commit to. If you are consistent you will see results, But as with everything in life, the more you put in, the more you will get out it.
