Getting Started with CrossFit Proper:

Step#1 Try a Free Intro Class

The intro class is our way of getting to know you, and you us. It consists of a warm-up, a skill portion where we show you three body weight movements we use in CrossFit, and then you use those movements in a workout. Every member at Proper has done the “Day 1” workout and it exists as our baseline WOD for everyone.

Step#2 Make a commitment to yourself.  Sign up for the “New Member Program”

If you are new to CrossFit and you decide to join, you will enter the New Member Program. It is a mandatory three month commitment. During the first month, you will schedule one-on-one sessions with a trainer to learn the nine fundamental movements of CrossFit. Each session will emphasize mechanics and consistency of skills. Emphasis will be on instruction, review, repetition and evaluation of movements versus intensity. During that first month, you can also join the group classes and we will scale the workouts for you. The next two months, you are welcome to come in as often as you want to do the workouts. We suggest a 3 days on / 1 day off schedule. A complimentary session to take your baseline measurements and weight is also included at after your Foundations sessions and at the end of your three month program.

Step#3 After the New Member Program, you decide your length of commitment.

You can choose from one of several membership options that will  give you access to our group classes.

Already a CrossFitter?

Coming from another box? Join the Group WOD classes.

We follow CrossFit HQ programming and scale accordingly.

Do you know the nine fundamental movements of CrossFit? Are you familiar with the C&J and snatch? If you are an experienced CrossFitter, knowledge of these movements essential. You don’t have to have pull-ups or be an expert at all the movements, but we would like to know that you are familiar with them. If you are not familiar with all of them we recommend that you start one-on-one with one of our coaches to go over the fundamentals. Four sessions of one-on-one Foundations is $200. If you have been CrossFitting 3 months or more on your own or at a CrossFit affiliate and are confident in your familiarity with the fundamental movements, you can try us for a week for $25. The $25 fee will be applied towards your first month membership if you decide to join CrossFit Proper.
